Well-known Markneukirchen violin maker, though early in his career he work in Breslau and Berlin. Knorr is know for his copies of Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesu, and Guadagnini.
Here’s a fabulous Guadagnini copy by Paul Knorr, c 1930. While this violin has some top cracks that reduce it’s cost, it is the type of Knorr that is most esteemed by connoisseurs.
